List of Occupy Movement/Protest in Eastern Europe

Legend

Line Chart

I decided to use this Line Chart as another way to visualize my data and the features are listed below.

Features and Pro/Cons

I decided to include time as a factor in this visualization. This visualization represents the total crowd sizes of each demonstration by country over time.
Each seperate line represents a seperate country and their protests. As you can see, Spain had the largest crowd size, Italy had the latest protest, and October 15th seemed like the most popular day.
You can hover on each data point and see the crowd size from which country and on what day. This helps you get a more detailed understanding of each data point.
You can click and drag on the graph to zoom into that are of the graph and get a closer look. Click on reset zoom to zoom out.
You can select and deselect each country on the legend to have those items on or off the graph. This can help you better compare individual countries.
Pro: Much more easy to understand the data.

The data itself has a lot more meaning when visualized this way compared to before. You can compare individual countries and timelines.

Pro: Easier to summarize

At a first glance, the user is able to easily get a quick summarized understanding of how each country and their protests compare.

Pro: Easier to see patterns

When viewing this data visualization, users are able to much more easily see patterns and trends. Like Spain having bigger crowd sizes, while Germany just had more smaller demostrations.

Con: The outliers make it hard to see details

Because of the outliers, it makes the graph hard to visualize for smaller crowd sizes and specific days like 10/15. However, the zoom feature takes care of that!
